I'm Back!

Sat Mar 21, 2009, 7:07 AM
  • Mood: Optimism
  • Listening to: TMNT
  • Reading: A Lion Among Men
  • Eating: nothing.... *sigh*
  • Drinking: COFFEE!!!
So, I have been... absent... for quite a long time here on dA. I have been so busy lately that it's hard to keep track of everything I need to do. We moved our family back to civilization back in December of '07 and have been busy ever since! I did something I never thought I would ever do... joined a gym! I can't tell you how much I am loving it, though! It has a spa and a cafe, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, steam rooms, child care, pre school for my 4 year old and, my favorite, HOT YOGA! The spa is an extremely close second, I have to say. It really is true what some people say... go to the spa on a bad day and you'll come out feeling so much better! What wonderful women! I never knew this exercise stuff could be so great! @.@ I'm even doing some personal training to get myself on track with other workouts, besides the hot yoga, so I can use my membership to it's fullest capacity. In the past few years, I have lost a lot of weight I'd been hanging on to after my pregnancy and birth of my second child. He was getting older and I wasn't losing weight and I felt horrible, depressed, and didn't want to do anything... not even photography, which I love! I went vegan for various reasons and lost 30 or 40 pounds in the first year or so and have pretty much plateaued at that point. I decided that I needed to get into a workout routine to help tone my flab and lose the rest of the weight that I need to... about 15- 20 pounds or so. (to be in my healthy weight range) I also started going back to the chiropractor after not having been for about 3 years... it's been a blessing to be able to afford to go back!

This past Christmas was a good one for us. We received a nice surprise from my husband's grandmother. She sold her house and gave all of the immediate grandchildren $$. It was an amazing present, something that was, and still is, very much appreciated. We were able to give the kids and ourselves a nice Christmas and take care of somethings that needed to be. The best thing of all was that I was finally able to get myself a new camera!! It's not the one I *REALLY* want, however, it's the best thing, in my opinion, that I could get with my share of the money. The Nikon D80 kicks some major ass! Yay for a camera that handles green!!! Maybe it will make me some money to get *the one*! I will post some photos really soon to show you what I've done with it. I have a lot of pix to weed out and size down to appropriateness to throw up on here!

I'm back and feeling better than ever! I hope those of you who are *watching* me are doing well and I promise to keep up with dA now that I am feeling myself again! No more pity-parties for me! Now... if I can just make it through pollen season..... >.<

Taffy was a Welshman, Taffy was a thief.
He came to my house and stole a leg of beef.
I went to Taffys house, Taffy was in bed.
I took a carving knife and cut of Taffys head.
